 Polymedco CDP is pleased to announce  a new agreement with MMS-A Medical Supply Company for distribution of its manual fecal immunochemical test product.  This agreement includes distribution of OC-Light® manual FIT.

 OC-Light®, the Polymedco manual fecal immunochemical test, require a single stool sample, have no dietary or medicinal restrictions, and have a completely closed sampling device, unlike Guaiac tests.  With this methodology, patient compliance has been shown to be as much as triple over prior testing methods.

 Colorectal cancer is the third-leading cause of cancer death in America, expecting to cause over 51,000 deaths during 2012 according to the American Cancer Society. Yet when detected early, colorectal cancer is highly treatable, and patients with precancerous polyps or early stage cancers often do not have to follow-up with repeated surgeries and costly radiation and chemotherapy.  Annual screening for colorectal cancer, which is facilitated by OC-Light®, is helping to save lives and contain national healthcare costs.

 Polymedco is pleased to announce  a new agreement with MMS-A Medical Supply Company for distribution of its line of erythrocyte sedimentation rate analyzers.  This agreement includes distribution of the sedrate line including Sediplast® manual sedrate, automated systems Sedimat® 60, Sedimat® 15, and Sediten.

 Sedrate testing is non-diagnostic and measures the amount of inflammation within the body by calculating the rate at which red blood cells settle.  These tests are often ordered on patients presenting with vague symptoms, unexplained fever or arthritic symptoms.  They are also ordered to help monitor certain types of necrosis or illnesses that are autoimmune or inflammatory.  Elevated sedrate levels may also be due to infection, contrastly, lowered serate levels can hint to other conditions such as congestive heart failure.

 Polymedco’s sedrate line features an array of products with read times ranging from the standard 60 minutes to as little as ten minutes.  The Sediplast® line features a safety closure system, self zeroing reservoir and optional pre-filled diluent.  All automated analyzers feature a small footprint as well as random access which gives the laboratory technicians the convenience to walk away from the instrument and have the results recorded via LIS, printer or instrument save and display.  The Sedimat® 15 can process up to 32 results in one hour while the Sediten® can process up to 48 test results in one hour.  Also to be offered are Sed-Chek® 2 controls which are made from human red blood cells and known for superior product performance.  These controls have incredible stability, are easy to mix and can be stored at room temperature.  They also offer a QC program with peer review available at no extra charge.
