The OC FIT-CHEK test is a quick and easy screening method that measures human hemoglobin in your stool. The test can be performed at home with little disruption to your daily routine.
This Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) is used for detecting gastrointestinal bleeding associated with disorders such as colorectal cancer, polyps and colitis.
A positive result does not necessarily mean that you have colorectal cancer. There are many reasons why you could have blood in your stool. In addition, a negative result does not guarantee the absence of colorectal cancer.
How can I get FIT-CHEK?
Ask your physician. If he/she is unfamiliar with Fecal Immunochemical Testing (FIT), please download and print the request letter to give to your physician.
