The OC FIT-CHEK test is a quick and easy screening method for disorders such as colorectal cancer, polyps and colitis. This Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) screening method provides increased sensitivity and specificity over traditional screening methods, like Guaiac-based tests.
Indicated for use in routine physical examinations, the test measures the presence of human hemoglobin in a patient’s stool. Based on the results, physicians can decide whether to recommend patients for colonoscopy. The ultimate goal is to detect and treat colorectal cancer at an early stage.
